Patriotic Oreo Balls- Easy Red White Blue Dessert Idea

July 2, 2026 by

Get ready to celebrate with the easiest, most delicious treat ever: Patriotic Oreo Balls! These no-bake delights are perfect for any red, white, and blue occasion, bringing smiles with every bite. Simple to make and stunning to serve, they’re sure to be a star at your next gathering!

Ingredients

  • 1 (15.3 oz) package Oreo cookies (about 36 cookies)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 12 oz white candy melts (or vanilla-flavored almond bark)
  • Red, white, and blue sprinkles, nonpareils, or sanding sugar for decoration

Instructions

  1. Place the Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until finely crushed into crumbs. Alternatively, place cookies in a large zip-top bag and crush with a rolling pin.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreo crumbs and softened cream cheese. Mix with a spoon or your hands until thoroughly combined and a dough-like consistency is formed.
  3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Chill the Oreo balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (or 15 minutes in the freezer) to firm them up.
  5. While the balls are chilling, melt the white candy melts according to package directions (microwave or double boiler). Stir until smooth.
  6. Dip each chilled Oreo ball into the melted white candy coating, tapping gently to remove excess. Use a fork or a dipping tool for this.
  7. Immediately transfer the coated ball back to the parchment-lined baking sheet and decorate with red, white, and blue sprinkles before the coating sets.
  8. Once all balls are dipped and decorated, return them to the refrigerator for another 15-30 minutes to allow the coating to fully set.
  9. Serve chilled and enjoy your festive Patriotic Oreo Balls!
