Instructions

  1. Press the Tofu: Remove tofu from packaging and drain excess liquid. Wrap in a clean kitchen towel or paper towels, place a heavy object on top, and let sit for at least 30 minutes to press out moisture.
  2. Cut the Tofu: Unwrap the pressed tofu and cut it into wing-sized pieces (rectangles or triangles, about 1 inch thick).
  3. Set Up Your Breading Station: In three separate bowls, prepare your breading station:
    • Bowl 1: Combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
    • Bowl 2: Pour in the plant-based milk.
    • Bowl 3: Add the breadcrumbs.
  4. Coat the Tofu: Dip each piece of tofu into the flour mixture, then the plant-based milk, and finally roll in the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere. Repeat for all pieces.
  5. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  6. Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with olive oil.
