- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (divided)
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 cup snap peas
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice or noodles for serving
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well until the beef is evenly coated.
- Let the beef marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to an hour in the refrigerator for enhanced flavor.
- Wash and slice the red and green bell peppers into thin strips.
- Peel and slice the onion into thin wedges.
- Mince the garlic and ginger finely.
- Cut the broccoli into small florets.
- Rinse the snap peas and set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated beef in a single layer and sear for about 2-3 minutes without stirring. Cook until browned, about 3-4 more minutes, then remove from the skillet.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Stir in the minced garlic and ginger for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the sliced onions, bell peppers, broccoli, and snap peas. Stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet and pour in the sesame oil. Stir to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, and add more soy sauce or oyster sauce if desired.
- Prepare your rice or noodles according to package instructions.
- Serve the stir-fry over the cooked rice or noodles, garnished with chopped green onions.
Notes
- Feel free to customize the vegetables based on your preference or what you have on hand.
