Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 Turkey Tenderloins (about 1 pound total)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried Rosemary
  • 1/4 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1/4 cup Chicken Broth
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • Optional: Fresh Parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Turkey: Pat the turkey tenderloins dry with paper towels.
  2. Make the Spice Rub: In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, dried rosemary, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Season the Turkey: Generously rub the spice mixture all over the turkey tenderloins.
  4. Rest (Optional): Let the seasoned turkey rest at room temperature for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Sear the Turkey: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the turkey for 3-4 minutes per side, until browned and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Remove and Tent: Remove the turkey from the skillet and tent with foil.
  7. Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  8. Add Liquids: Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice. Bring to a simmer and reduce for 3-5 minutes, until slightly thickened.
  9. Season Sauce: Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  10. Slice and Serve: Slice the turkey against the grain. Arrange on a platter and spoon the sauce over the top. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. Serve immediately.

  • Herb Variations: Experiment with different herbs like oregano, basil, or marjoram in the spice rub.
  • Spice Level: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat.
  • Marinade Option: Marinate the turkey in the spice rub and olive oil for at least 30 minutes, or overnight.
