  • Author: Dottie
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 2-4 servings 1x

Description

Enjoy a creamy Strawberry Chocolate Milkshake made with fresh strawberries, vanilla ice cream, and chocolate syrup. This refreshing treat is perfect for warm days or as a sweet indulgence anytime!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup whole milk (or your preferred milk alternative)
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup (plus extra for drizzling)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream, for topping
  • Chocolate shavings or sprinkles, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash the fresh strawberries under cold running water to remove any dirt or debris.
  2. Hull the strawberries by removing the green tops using a small knife or a strawberry huller.
  3. Slice the strawberries into halves or quarters for easier blending.
  4. In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries, vanilla ice cream, whole milk, chocolate syrup, and vanilla extract.
  5. Blend on medium speed until smooth and creamy. Stop to scrape down the sides with a spatula as needed.
  6. Adjust the thickness by adding more ice cream for a thicker shake or more milk for a thinner consistency, then blend again.
  7. Drizzle chocolate syrup inside each glass for added flavor and presentation.
  8. Pour the milkshake into the prepared glasses, filling them about three-quarters full.
  9. Top each milkshake with a generous dollop of whipped cream.
  10. Optionally, sprinkle chocolate shavings or sprinkles on top of the whipped cream.
  11. Serve immediately with a straw or a long spoon. Enjoy fresh while the ice cream is still cold and creamy.
  12. For a fun treat, serve with extra strawberries or chocolate-covered strawberries for dipping.

Notes

  • Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor; frozen strawberries can be used if fresh ones are unavailable, but let them thaw slightly before blending.
  • Experiment with different types of chocolate syrup for varied flavors.
  • For a healthier option, substitute Greek yogurt for ice cream.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the freezer, but the texture may change. Let it sit at room temperature before blending again to restore creaminess.
