Description
Enjoy a creamy Strawberry Chocolate Milkshake made with fresh strawberries, vanilla ice cream, and chocolate syrup. This refreshing treat is perfect for warm days or as a sweet indulgence anytime!
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream
- 1 cup whole milk (or your preferred milk alternative)
- 1/4 cup chocolate syrup (plus extra for drizzling)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Whipped cream, for topping
- Chocolate shavings or sprinkles, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Wash the fresh strawberries under cold running water to remove any dirt or debris.
- Hull the strawberries by removing the green tops using a small knife or a strawberry huller.
- Slice the strawberries into halves or quarters for easier blending.
- In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries, vanilla ice cream, whole milk, chocolate syrup, and vanilla extract.
- Blend on medium speed until smooth and creamy. Stop to scrape down the sides with a spatula as needed.
- Adjust the thickness by adding more ice cream for a thicker shake or more milk for a thinner consistency, then blend again.
- Drizzle chocolate syrup inside each glass for added flavor and presentation.
- Pour the milkshake into the prepared glasses, filling them about three-quarters full.
- Top each milkshake with a generous dollop of whipped cream.
- Optionally, sprinkle chocolate shavings or sprinkles on top of the whipped cream.
- Serve immediately with a straw or a long spoon. Enjoy fresh while the ice cream is still cold and creamy.
- For a fun treat, serve with extra strawberries or chocolate-covered strawberries for dipping.
Notes
- Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor; frozen strawberries can be used if fresh ones are unavailable, but let them thaw slightly before blending.
- Experiment with different types of chocolate syrup for varied flavors.
- For a healthier option, substitute Greek yogurt for ice cream.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the freezer, but the texture may change. Let it sit at room temperature before blending again to restore creaminess.
