A quick and flavorful dish, Spicy Garlic Shrimp Linguine features tender shrimp and al dente linguine tossed in a zesty garlic and lemon sauce, making it perfect for both weeknight dinners and special occasions.

- 8 ounces linguine pasta
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)
- 1 lemon, juiced and zested
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
- Before draining, reserve about 1 cup of pasta cooking water.
- Drain linguine and toss with a little olive oil to prevent sticking.
- In a bowl, season shrimp with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes. Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, add remaining olive oil and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
- Pour in wine (or broth) and deglaze the skillet. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in lemon juice and zest, simmer for another minute.
- Return shrimp and linguine to the skillet, tossing to coat.
- Add reserved pasta water gradually until desired consistency is reached.
- Stir in parsley and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Plate the dish and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired.
- Garnish with additional parsley or a lemon slice.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
