  • Author: Dottie
  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 12 mini cheeseburgers 1x

Description

These Mini Tater Tot Cheeseburgers combine juicy beef patties with crispy tater tots and melted cheddar, all in soft slider buns. Perfect for gatherings, they offer a fun twist on classic sliders, topped with pickles and your choice of condiments.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced pickles
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup mustard
  • 12 slider buns (mini burger buns)
  • Optional: lettuce, tomato slices, and additional toppings of your choice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Spread the frozen tater tots in a single layer on a large baking sheet.
  3. Bake the tater tots according to the package instructions, usually around 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Divide the beef mixture into 12 equal portions, roll into balls, and flatten into patties about 1/2 inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty.
  6. Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  7. Add the burger patties and cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side.
  8. Flip the patties and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Add cheese during the last minute and cover to melt.
  9. Remove the tater tots from the oven and let cool for a minute.
  10. Slice the slider buns in half and toast if desired.
  11. On the bottom half of each slider bun, place a cooked burger patty with melted cheese.
  12. Top each patty with a few tater tots, diced pickles, and drizzle with ketchup and mustard.
  13. Place the top half of the slider bun on each mini cheeseburger.

Notes

  • Feel free to customize your sliders with additional toppings like lettuce, tomato, or jalapeños.
  • These sliders are great for parties; consider setting up a toppings bar for guests to personalize their burgers.
