  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Indulge in this Maple Glazed Bacon-Wrapped Chicken, featuring juicy chicken breasts wrapped in crispy bacon and drizzled with a sweet and tangy maple glaze. Perfect for cozy dinners or special occasions, this dish pairs beautifully with roasted vegetables, creamy mashed potatoes, or a crisp green salad for a well-rounded meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 slices of thick-cut bacon
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh thyme or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness of about 1 inch.
  3. Mix garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt in a small bowl. Sprinkle the seasoning blend over both sides of the chicken breasts.
  4. Whisk together maple syrup, Dijon mustard, and soy sauce in a medium bowl. Set aside 1/4 cup of the glaze for later.
  5. Lay out the bacon slices. Wrap two slices around each chicken breast, securing with toothpicks if necessary.
  6. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Place the bacon-wrapped chicken in the skillet, seam side down, and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until the bacon is crispy.
  7. Brush the reserved maple glaze over the chicken and transfer the skillet to the oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  8. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes after removing it from the oven. Remove toothpicks, slice the chicken, and drizzle with any remaining glaze. Garnish with fresh thyme or parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Ensure the chicken is pounded evenly for consistent cooking.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness.
  • Feel free to customize the sides based on your preference.
