Mango Dragonfruit Refresher: A Refreshing Summer Drink Recipe

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Description

A vibrant and refreshing blend of sweet mango, exotic dragon fruit, and a hint of lime, perfect for a delicious and healthy icy treat on hot days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ripe mango, peeled and cubed
  • 1 cup frozen dragon fruit (pitaya) chunks
  • 1/2 cup white grape juice
  • 1/4 cup water (adjust to desired consistency)
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon agave nectar or simple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional garnishes: fresh mango slices, dragon fruit pieces, lime wedge

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mango: Peel the mango, remove the pit, and dice into small cubes (about 1 cup).
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a high-powered blender, combine cubed mango, frozen dragon fruit chunks, white grape juice, water, lime juice, and agave nectar (if using).
  3. Blend Until Smooth: Blend on high speed until completely smooth. If too thick, add water, a tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
  4. Taste and Adjust: Taste and add more agave nectar or simple syrup if needed for sweetness.
  5. Fill Glasses with Ice: Fill glasses generously with ice cubes.
  6. Pour Mixture: Carefully pour the blended mango dragon fruit mixture over the ice in each glass.
  7. Garnish (Optional): Garnish with fresh mango slices, dragon fruit pieces, and/or a lime wedge.
  8. Serve Immediately: Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a tropical twist, add a splash of coconut water.
  • Make it bubbly by topping with sparkling water or club soda.
  • Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or fresh ginger for a kick.
  • Muddle fresh mint leaves for an aromatic twist.
  • For an adult version, add a shot of vodka, rum, or tequila.
  • Adjust the consistency by adding more water or frozen dragon fruit.
  • Experiment with different juices like pineapple, orange, or apple.
  • Use honey, maple syrup, or stevia as sweetness alternatives.
