Ingredients
Scale
- 4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground, or to taste
- Optional Garnish: Fresh parsley, chopped
- Optional Garnish: Lemon wedges
Instructions
- Prepare the Glaze: In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard, olive oil, and lemon juice. Add garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Prepare the Salmon: Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Check for and remove any pin bones. Score the skin if cooking skin-on.
- Marinate (Optional): Generously coat each salmon fillet with the honey mustard glaze. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for best flavor.
- Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
- Prepare Air Fryer Basket: Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.
- Air Fry: Place salmon fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Air fry for 8-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature of the salmon should reach 145°F (63°C).
- Optional Extra Glaze: During the last minute of cooking, you can brush the salmon with a little extra honey mustard glaze for an extra glossy finish.
- Serve: Carefully remove the salmon from the air fryer. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and lemon wedges, if desired. Serve immediately.
