  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Description

A vibrant and refreshing smoothie combining the tropical sweetness of pineapple with the tart, floral notes of hibiscus tea. Packed with antioxidants and flavor!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup dried hibiscus flowers
  • 4 cups water (for hibiscus tea)
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (or coconut yogurt for vegan option)
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Ice cubes (optional, for desired consistency)
  • Pineapple wedge or hibiscus flower (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Hibiscus Tea Concentrate: Rinse hibiscus flowers. In a saucepan, combine flowers and water. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 15-20 minutes. Strain and cool completely.
  2. Blend Smoothie: In a blender, combine frozen pineapple, cooled hibiscus tea, yogurt, honey/maple syrup, ginger, cinnamon, and lime juice.
  3. Blend until smooth. Add more hibiscus tea or water if too thick.
  4. Adjust sweetness to taste with more honey/maple syrup or lime juice.
  5. Add ice for a thicker, colder smoothie (optional).
