  • Author: Dottie
  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Enjoy the sweet and smoky flavors of Grilled Apple S’mores, featuring juicy apples stuffed with a graham cracker mixture, melted chocolate, and gooey marshmallows, all grilled to perfection. This fun and easy dessert is perfect for summer gatherings or cozy nights by the fire!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup crushed graham crackers
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • Aluminum foil (for grilling)
  • Optional: caramel sauce for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Start by washing the apples thoroughly under cold water to remove any wax or residue. Pat them dry with a clean towel.
  2. Using a sharp knife, carefully core each apple. You want to remove the seeds and create a hollow center without cutting through the bottom.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the crushed graham crackers, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  4. Once mixed, add the melted butter to the graham cracker mixture. Stir until the mixture is well combined and resembles wet sand.
  5. Take a spoonful of the graham cracker mixture and carefully stuff it into the hollowed-out center of each apple.
  6. Next, sprinkle a layer of chocolate chips on top of the graham cracker filling.
  7. Finally, top each apple with a handful of mini marshmallows.
  8. Cut four large squares of aluminum foil, enough to wrap each apple securely.
  9. Place each stuffed apple in the center of a piece of foil. Drizzle a little caramel sauce over the top of the marshmallows if desired.
  10. Wrap the foil around the apple, making sure it’s sealed tightly to keep the heat in while grilling.
  11. Preheat your grill to medium heat.
  12. Once the grill is ready, place the wrapped apples directly on the grill grates. Close the lid and let them cook for about 15-20 minutes.
  13. After about 10 minutes, carefully check one of the apples by unwrapping the foil slightly.
  14. When the apples are done, you should see the marshmallows puffed up and golden brown, and the chocolate melted beautifully.
  15. Once the apples are perfectly grilled, carefully remove them from the grill using tongs.
  16. Unwrap the foil carefully, allowing the steam to escape.
  17. For serving, place each grilled apple on a plate. Drizzle a little more caramel sauce over the top and sprinkle some extra crushed graham crackers for garnish.
  18. Grab a spoon and dig in!

Notes
