Description

These Garlic Steak Bites are tender, flavorful pieces of sirloin steak, seasoned and seared to perfection. Finished with a zesty lemon squeeze and fresh parsley, they make a delicious appetizer or main dish that’s sure to impress!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound of sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil, divided
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Cut the sirloin steak into bite-sized pieces, about 1-inch cubes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the steak pieces with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and dried oregano.
  3. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of olive oil over the seasoned steak and toss until well coated.
  4. Let the steak marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to an hour in the refrigerator.
  5. Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil to the hot skillet.
  7. Carefully add the marinated steak bites in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding.
  8. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side without moving them.
  9. Flip the steak bites using tongs and cook for another 2-3 minutes on the other side.
  10. In the last minute of cooking, add the minced garlic to the skillet, stirring to infuse the steak with garlic flavor.
  11. Once cooked to your liking, remove the steak bites from the skillet and transfer them to a plate. Squeeze the juice of one lemon over the steak bites.
  12. Transfer the cooked steak bites to a serving platter, including any garlic bits from the skillet.
  13. Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the top for garnish.
  14. Serve with toothpicks for easy eating, especially as an appetizer.
  15. Pair with your favorite dipping sauce, such as creamy garlic aioli or spicy chimichurri.
