Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pre-made pizza dough
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 2 cups fresh spinach, roughly chopped
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
- If using store-bought pizza dough, let it sit at room temperature for 20-30 minutes.
- On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick.
- Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza stone or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a medium skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add cooked chicken to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Toss in chopped spinach and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until wilted. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Add red pepper flakes if desired. Remove from heat.
- Spread ricotta cheese evenly over the rolled-out pizza dough.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the ricotta layer.
- Spoon the garlic chicken and spinach mixture over the mozzarella cheese.
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top.
- Place the assembled pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
- Monitor the pizza during the last few minutes to prevent overcooking. Cover edges with aluminum foil if browning too quickly.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves and drizzle with olive oil if desired.
- Slice into wedges and serve hot.
Notes
- For homemade pizza dough, ensure it rises properly for the best texture.
- Customize toppings with other vegetables or different cheeses for varied flavors.
- For a robust garlic flavor, consider roasting garlic before adding it to the chicken mixture.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for best results.
