Indulge in a delicious Garlic Chicken Spinach Pizza with a crispy crust, creamy ricotta base, tender chicken, fresh spinach, and a blend of cheeses. Ideal for cozy nights or gatherings with friends!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-made pizza dough
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. If using store-bought pizza dough, let it sit at room temperature for 20-30 minutes.
  3. On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick.
  4. Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza stone or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. In a medium skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  6. Add cooked chicken to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  7. Toss in chopped spinach and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until wilted. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Add red pepper flakes if desired. Remove from heat.
  8. Spread ricotta cheese evenly over the rolled-out pizza dough.
  9. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the ricotta layer.
  10. Spoon the garlic chicken and spinach mixture over the mozzarella cheese.
  11. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  12. Place the assembled pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
  13. Monitor the pizza during the last few minutes to prevent overcooking. Cover edges with aluminum foil if browning too quickly.
  14. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes.
  15. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and drizzle with olive oil if desired.
  16. Slice into wedges and serve hot.

Notes

  • For homemade pizza dough, ensure it rises properly for the best texture.
  • Customize toppings with other vegetables or different cheeses for varied flavors.
  • For a robust garlic flavor, consider roasting garlic before adding it to the chicken mixture.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for best results.
