Garlic Butter Beef Bites: The Ultimate Guide to Deliciousness

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4-6 servings 1x

Description

Tender sirloin steak cubes seared and coated in a rich, flavorful garlic butter sauce. Quick, easy, and incredibly delicious – perfect as an appetizer or main course!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs Sirloin Steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) Unsalted Butter
  • 6 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes (optional, for heat)
  • 1/4 tsp Salt (or to taste)
  • Extra Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • Sesame Seeds
  • Green Onions, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Steak: Pat the sirloin steak cubes dry with paper towels.
  2. Season the Beef: In a medium bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Add the steak cubes to the bowl and toss thoroughly to coat.
  3. Marinate (Optional): For enhanced flavor, marinate the seasoned beef in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to a few hours.
  4. Heat the Pan: Place a large skillet (cast iron is ideal) over medium-high heat. Allow the pan to heat up completely.
  5. Sear the Beef: Add the seasoned beef cubes to the hot skillet in a single layer, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Sear each side of the beef cubes for about 2-3 minutes, or until they are nicely browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness. For medium-rare, aim for an internal temperature of 130-135°F (54-57°C). For medium, aim for 135-145°F (57-63°C). Use a meat thermometer to ensure accuracy.
  6. Remove from Pan: Once the beef bites are cooked to your liking, remove them from the skillet and set them aside on a plate. Tent them loosely with foil to keep them warm while you prepare the garlic butter sauce.
  7. Melt the Butter: In the same skillet (no need to clean it!), melt the butter over medium heat.
  8. Sauté the Garlic: Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté the garlic for about 1-2 minutes, or until it is fragrant and lightly golden. Be careful not to burn the garlic, as this will make the sauce bitter. Keep a close eye on it and stir frequently.
  9. Add Remaining Ingredients: Stir in the fresh parsley, lemon juice, red pepper flakes (if using), and salt. Cook for another minute, stirring constantly, until the sauce is well combined and slightly thickened.
  10. Add Beef to Sauce: Return the seared beef bites to the skillet with the garlic butter sauce. Toss to coat the beef evenly in the sauce.
  11. Simmer (Optional): If you want the flavors to meld together even more, you can simmer the beef bites in the sauce for a minute or two. This is entirely optional, but it can enhance the overall flavor.
  12. Serve Immediately: Serve the garlic butter beef bites immediately while they are hot and juicy. Garnish with extra fresh parsley, sesame seeds, and/or thinly sliced green onions, if desired.

  • Use a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking the beef.
  • Rest the beef for a few minutes before serving for extra tenderness (optional).
