A refreshing, creamy homemade Chick-fil-A Frosted Lemonade. Made with fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, and vanilla ice cream, it’s perfect for a hot day.

- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 6–8 lemons)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups water, divided
- 4 cups vanilla ice cream, softened (high-quality, full-fat ice cream recommended)
- Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Make Lemonade Concentrate: Juice lemons to get 1 cup of fresh juice. In a saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup of water. Heat over medium, stirring until sugar dissolves (3-5 mins). Remove from heat, cool slightly (5 mins), then stir in lemon juice.
- Dilute and Chill: Add remaining 3 cups of water to the concentrate. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or longer) to chill.
- Soften Ice Cream: Take ice cream out of the freezer 15-20 minutes before blending to soften.
- Blend: Pour chilled lemonade and softened ice cream into a blender. Blend on medium speed until smooth and creamy (30-60 seconds).
- Adjust Consistency: If too thick, add more lemonade (1 tbsp at a time). If too thin, add more ice cream.
- Taste and Adjust: Add sugar/syrup for sweetness or lemon juice for more lemon flavor.
- Serve: Pour into glasses, garnish with lemon slices (optional), and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use high-quality, full-fat vanilla ice cream for the best results.
- Don’t over-blend, as this can melt the ice cream too much.
- Chill the lemonade concentrate thoroughly for the best flavor.
- Adjust sweetness and lemon flavor to your preference.

- Strawberry: Add fresh or frozen strawberries to the blender.
- Peach: Use peach ice cream or add fresh peach slices.
- Diet: Use sugar-free lemonade and ice cream.

- Troubleshooting:
- Too Thin: Add more ice cream.

- Not Lemon-y Enough: Add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
- Storage: Leftovers can be frozen for up to 2 hours. Thaw slightly and re-blend before serving.
