Instructions
- Start by boiling 2 cups of water or milk in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Once the liquid is boiling, add the chai tea leaves or the chai tea bag.
- Let the chai steep for about 5 minutes.
- After steeping, remove the tea leaves or tea bag and set the chai-infused liquid aside.
- In the same saucepan, add the rolled oats to the chai-infused liquid. Stir well to combine.
- Bring the mixture back to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to low.
- Add a pinch of salt to enhance the flavors.
- Cook the oats for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they absorb the liquid and become creamy.
- While the oats are cooking, prepare your coffee.
- Once the oats have reached your desired consistency, stir in the instant coffee or espresso.
- Add the brown sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, and ground cardamom. Stir until well combined.
- For extra creaminess, stir in 1/4 cup of milk.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and spoon the oatmeal into bowls.
