Description
Indulge in a refreshing Frosted Lemonade, a delightful blend of tart lemon juice and creamy vanilla ice cream, perfect for hot summer days or any time you crave a cool treat!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 4 cups of vanilla ice cream
- 2 cups of cold water
- 1 cup of crushed ice (optional, for a thicker texture)
- 1 lemon, sliced (for garnish)
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Start by squeezing the lemons to get that fresh lemon juice. Roll the lemons on the counter with your palm before cutting them in half to release more juice. Youll need about 1 cup of lemon juice, so grab 4 to 6 lemons depending on their size.
- Pour the lemon juice into a medium-sized mixing bowl. Add in 1 cup of granulated sugar to sweeten the tartness of the lemons.
- Add 2 cups of cold water to the bowl. Stir the mixture well until the sugar is completely dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness if desired.
- In a blender, add 4 cups of vanilla ice cream. Use a good quality ice cream for the best flavor.
- Pour in the lemonade mixture you just prepared. For a thicker texture, add 1 cup of crushed ice.
- Blend everything together on high speed until smooth and creamy, about 30 seconds to 1 minute. Stop to scrape down the sides if necessary.
- Taste your Frosted Lemonade and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more sugar or simple syrup, then blend again.
- Use tall glasses or mason jars for serving. Clear glasses showcase the creamy texture beautifully.
- Pour the Frosted Lemonade into the glasses, filling them about three-quarters full.
- Garnish each glass with a slice of lemon on the rim and fresh mint leaves for added color and aroma.
- For an extra touch, top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of lemon zest.
- Grab a straw or spoon and enjoy the irresistible combination of tart lemon and creamy vanilla.
- Perfect for summer days, backyard barbecues, or as a refreshing treat after a long day.
- Store any leftovers in the freezer, stirring or blending again before serving if it hardens.
Notes
- For fruit variations, consider adding strawberries, raspberries, or blueberries for a fruity twist.
