Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup water
- 2 bags cherry-flavored black tea (or your favorite cherry tea)
- 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy, your choice!)
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
- Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
- Cherry for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Brewing the Cherry Tea Concentrate: Bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Remove from heat and add cherry tea bags. Steep for 5-7 minutes. Remove tea bags, squeeze out excess liquid, and discard bags.
- Preparing the Vanilla Infused Milk: Pour 1/2 cup milk into a small saucepan. Add 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract. Gently heat over medium heat, being careful not to boil.
- Frothing the Milk:
- Milk Frother: Pour warm vanilla milk into frother and follow instructions.
- Whisk: Remove milk from heat and vigorously whisk for 1-2 minutes until frothy.
- French Press: Pour warm vanilla milk into French press, secure lid, and pump plunger vigorously for 30 seconds until frothy.
- Sweetening the Latte: Add 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup (or your preferred sweetener) to the warm cherry tea concentrate. Stir well until dissolved. Adjust to taste.
- Assembling the Latte: Pour sweetened cherry tea concentrate into your favorite mug. Gently pour warm, frothed vanilla milk over the tea. Spoon remaining milk froth on top.
- Garnishing and Serving: Top with whipped cream (optional) and a cherry for garnish (optional). Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- Adjust Sweetness: Adjust sweetener to your liking.
- Tea Flavors: Experiment with other cherry tea varieties or fruit-flavored teas.
- Adding Spices: Add a pinch of cinnamon, nutmeg, or cardamom to the milk while heating.
- Iced Latte: Brew tea concentrate, cool completely, pour over ice, add cold vanilla milk, and stir.
- Vegan Option: Use non-dairy milk and vegan sweetener.
- Espresso: Add a shot of espresso for a Cherry Vanilla Tea Latte Mocha.
- Cherry Syrup: Add a teaspoon or two of cherry syrup for a more intense cherry flavor.
- Vanilla Bean: Use a vanilla bean instead of vanilla extract for a richer vanilla flavor.
- Chocolate Shavings: A sprinkle of dark chocolate shavings on top of the whipped cream adds a touch of decadence.
