Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1 medium banana, frozen
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter (or peanut butter)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy, such as almond or oat milk)
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • Pinch of cinnamon (optional, for garnish)
  • Whipped cream (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Brew a cup of your favorite coffee and let it cool to room temperature. You can speed up the cooling by placing it in the fridge.
  2. Peel and slice a ripe banana into chunks, then freeze for at least 2 hours.
  3. Once the coffee is cooled and the banana is frozen, gather all ingredients.
  4. Pour the cooled brewed coffee into a blender.
  5. Add the frozen banana chunks to the blender.
  6. Scoop in the Greek yogurt.
  7. Spoon in the almond butter (or peanut butter).
  8. Drizzle in honey or maple syrup if desired.
  9. Pour in the vanilla extract.
  10. Add the milk of your choice, adjusting for thickness.
  11. Toss in the ice cubes.
  12. Blend on high speed until smooth, about 30-60 seconds.
  13. Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness if needed.
  14. Add more milk if the smoothie is too thick and blend again.
  15. Pour the smoothie into glasses.
  16. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.
  17. Serve fresh and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a thicker smoothie, reduce the amount of milk.
  • You can substitute Greek yogurt with a dairy-free alternative if needed.
  • Feel free to adjust the sweetness based on your preference and the ripeness of the banana.
